What is Coverage?

Coverage is the percent of time an advert is displayed on the first page of results. It is called Impression Share (IS) by Google Adwords. A key goal for good keyword performance is to keep coverage as close to 100% as your budget allows. If consumers cannot see your advert they can't click on it, they will click on a competitors advert.

What influences coverage?

There are two things which control how often your adverts appear

  • Daily Budget
  • Advert Position (within the first 10)
